I Have Talented Friends

Every once in awhile you come across really great people in life.  Nancy is one of those people. She is my blogging buddy and Instagram friend plus a really awesome momma to two of the most gorgeous kiddos around.

Oh, and by the way, she's insanely talented.  One day she posted a self drawn water color image of herself + her hubby on Instagram and I immediately proclaimed that she should sell those babies.  I was so impressed!

If that wasn't one of the cutest things you've ever seen then I don't think we can be friends anymore.

And wouldn't you believe it, the next thing I knew Nancy was posting a hand drawn image of my little family of three on Instagram.  I was flabbergasted and honest-to-goodness brought to tears. Like, no joke.

It is the most beautiful and perfectly whimsical representation of us.  And you know what? N sent me the image in the mail to keep as well.

She is seriously the absolute best and I will forever treasure her kind and irreplaceable gift to me. And, to boot, she's real.  I know that sounds silly, but it's absolutely the truth.  She's a genuine real that just makes you smile and feel at ease, like you've known her forever.  In an Instagram world that can be full of ego boosts and the like, N just isn't in it for that.  And you know that's saying something.  It's refreshing and inspiring. Can I get an Amen?!

The deal gets even sweeter because she's now offering her custom prints via her Etsy site for only $25. She didn't ask me to post about them or do a sneaky "hi, this is a cleverly disguised advertisement in the shape of a blog post" type of deal.  I wanted to sing her praises and send some business her way because obviously, the girl's got major talent.  For such a steal, this could be the perfect gift that I promise your recipient would treasure for a lifetime.  Or, heck, gift it to yourself.  You deserve it.  It will bring you daily smiles.

Now, as if a hand drawn portrait of my family wasn't enough, yet another blogger/IG buddy came through and drew me a picture of our second home.

Mandy, my sweet friend & momma to spunky twin boys,  has recently taken a passion of hers and turned it into a full fledged Etsy business.  As soon as I saw Mandy was taking custom orders I jumped at the chance to have her 'doodle' our new-to-us home.

She knocked it out of the park and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

I now want her to draw our first home as well...and my friends' homes, and my family's homes, and well, you get the idea.  But seriously, she's that good!  Like Nancy, Mandy didn't ask for me to do any kind of advertising for her but I just love my home drawing so much that I thought you guys might want to get a request in for you as well.

It's maybe a little odd to you guys that I get so emotional about these two drawings.  But I feel so blessed and fortunate to have the family and home I do plus the opportunity to have these two special women who could capture the essence of our little life.

Sappy, I know.  But very, very true.

I hope I've convinced you to place some orders to have your home & family captured in the sweetest way.  I promise you, you will not be disappointed!

xoxo

Thanks for sharing these. Im totally emotional over them and theyre not even my family or home! I love personal art and how it just makes you smile when you look at it. I'll definitely be giving these girls some business once my spending freeze is over.
And not only are we heart shaped dish twins, but I have that same owl(above) I had a set of three of them in different sizes but the girls broke one accidentally. Mine are yellow though:)
