Wish List: CB2 Ferris Wheel

Ever since seeing this whimsical ferris wheel on Secrets From A Stylist I have not been able to get it out of my head. I think, for most people, ferris wheels evoke sweet memories of fun times spent at summertime carnivals with tasty treats, beautiful weather, and family & friends.

It won me over and I am making a point to buy this guy for sure. While it's priced rather high for my tastes, I still want it in a bad way. It definitely belongs in our guest room to make me happy! Emily Henderson, has yet again, made me want to buy one of her featured items. If you haven't already guessed, I'm one of her biggest fans of her fabulous show!

Anything new and whimsical on your wish list?

Update on D + Cross That One Off My Wishlist

First, I want to say "thank you!" for all of your comments about David on yesterday's blog post. This blogging kinship we all have sure is something special. Dave was still feeling sick yesterday so we decided to go to the doctor. She is concerned because of the chest pains he experienced this past summer coupled with his low blood pressure and heart rate.

His doctor referred him to a cardiologist for some more tests and hopefully, more answers. His appointment is next Wednesday and I promise to keep everyone updated. Thanks again, for your concern. It means the world to us. He's still feeling a bit "off" {if that makes any sense} and I am keeping a watchful eye on him.

On to part two of this little post! I am happy to say that I crossed an item off of my wishlist yesterday before David had his little incident. I finally bought an arc lamp!

Remember my inspiration pic?

Yeah, it had me drooling too. : )

I have been debating since summer on where to buy it from and which brand to go with. I had finally made up my mind to buy the CSN Lighting version when I got word that they were being sold at La Z Boy Furniture.

As most of you know {and are probably tired of hearing about!}, I am in a contest on Stlmag.com for best "Living Space of the Year" in St. Louis. Woot-woot! When the judges came to my home one of the ladies gave me the lowdown that arc lamps were available at La Z Boy. Score! I could save money and time not having to worry about shipping estimates and costs. Sign me up!

So the other night D and I headed to the Illinois store and hunted it down. I left empty handed because they only had a satin nickel version and I had my heart set on a chrome finish one. I called around and found a store in South County that claimed that had chrome. After school, Maw Maw, my Mom, and I made the trip over to the store to pick it up. When I got to there, all they had was the satin nickel-- no chrome anywhere to be found, not even by special order. Major bummer.

However, the more I inspected the one they did have, the more it appeared to have a shiny finish. I decided I didn't care what the tag said, and I was sold and it came home with me on the spot. I put that bad boy together all by myself and now I am one content chica to have it in our living room.

It looks shiny, right? I'm not crazy.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I Promise You, We Aren't

But, that does not stop me from researching every possible baby stroller I'd buy if we were. I'd totally go for this one if it were up to me and money was no object.

It's modern and lovely and I even watched a review of it on youtube. What is wrong with me?

And, just remember...I am NOT pregnant. I promise I would tell you guys in a much cooler way. ; )

Happy weekend!

Handbag Wish

I saw this handbag here and I just about fell over. I'm totally smitten!

{compliments of What I Wore}

It's lovely. And it comes in a gorgeous teal and gray. I am in love. Thank you, Jessica.

Now, if I could only scrape up $700 bucks then there wouldn't be a problem. Ha. A girl can dream, right?

Anyone know where to find this?

I get a free subscription of Marie Claire magazine and sometimes I flip through it and sometimes I don't. Well tonight, before we watched Juno (which was, by the way, so adorable) I took a nice bubble bath and looked through my magazine. As I neared the end (page 212 to be exact), I came across a sweepstakes titled "Bag a Tote!". It's for a chance to win 1 of 15 Elliot Lucca/The Sak handbags. If you have the magazine you can see the pics of the bag, but I am having the most difficult time finding it online...can anyone help? Here's a pic from the website, but it also comes in black, green, and brown...the body looks like it's leather and the handles are braided canvas. I am loving it and want to know where to purchase it! Help a girl out...I'll love you forever :)!

I want you...I want you so bad!

I am dreaming of this camera! It's a Nikon D40 Digital SLR...and it could be all mine for the low price of approximately $600! Yikes--is right!I love documenting my style and our home and always think how great the pics could look if only I had the funds to get this baby. I mean, the skills to take this picture have nothing to do with the outcome right??? ;-) Just kidding...I know I wont have magical pictures off the bat...but they'll look a heck of a lot better than what I'm using now! I've read some photog blogs and have heard some chatter on message boards and this camera comes highly recommended for the begginner photographer. Ideally, I'd looove to take some classes and get really good! For now, though, it will remain on my ever-growing wish list!
