My Best Of Twenty Ten

It's been such a great year! I'm pretty sure I say that every year, but it really has been one heck of a ride.

I am beyond thankful that so many of you take the time out of your day to come visit our little blog. Your kindness is one of the reasons I smile so much!

I thought of no better way to round up the past year than with my favorite and most popular posts from this grand old year.

Let's take a stroll through those months that flew by so quickly...

January
We, okay, I decided on an office makeover. Thankfully David worked his math magic or else these chevron curtains would be.... well, they wouldn't be!

February
At this time, we'd only had Scoutie Bear for a couple of months. Today, she's the best addition this family could have ever hoped for!

Photobucket

March
This month we added a little more zing to the office. Guess I'm a sucker for color? ; )

Photobucket

April
The kitchen got a face lift and my father-in-law built one heck of a table! Thanks, Dan!

Photobucket

May
We showered the bride-to-be with a wonderful little soiree of fun!

Photobucket

June
I visited California, went skydiving, got a new brother-in-law, purchased my first LV, and met Britney Spears?!?! Great trip!

Photobucket

July
Don't call me a youtube guru just yet. Haha. Or ever for that matter! ; )

August
Best towels-turned-pillows project ever. I thank Home Goods everyday for having this pattern available to me. It was love at first sight! Thanks to my mom for being an awesome seamstress, as well! : )

Photobucket

September
Who would've thought I would have ever had a chance at winning? Thanks to everyone who voted! : D

Photobucket

October
I met THE Nate Berkus, spent a whirlwind 24 hours in NYC, and had the time of my life. It's safe to say that I'm still on cloud nine!

Photobucket

November
I thought the kitchen needed a little somethin' somethin'. Stripes + campaign dressers cure everything!

Photobucket

December
I get to be on TV again?!? The dream has just begun!

Wow, what a year! Thanks for being a part of my happiness, everybody. I am wishing you the best new year and I hope 2011 is the start/continuation of absolutely wonderful things.

You all deserve the best.

What's Good In Your Hood {Boise}

Hey guys! I know it's been kinda dead around here, and for that, I apologize. You'd think having two weeks off of school would be wonderful for blogging, but as you know, it's the busiest time of the year and sitting down to get some posts cranked out just hasn't happened.

I skipped out on yesterday, and may skip out on tomorrow, but I wanted to make sure I held up my Monday and Wednesday craigslist hunts for those who requested them. : )

But, no worries! Things will be back to normal pretty soon and I've got some fun stuff to share.

On to the business at hand! Today we're searching for deals in Idaho!

And like that, it's over! I hope you all had a joyous Christmas with your favorites. I hope you had loads of fun giving and receiving.

Our Christmas was as hectic as ever, but as lovely as ever, as well. My family is happy and healthy and I that makes me a happy camper.

I am looking forward to the future with hope and contentment and I think that I am ready for 2011 and all of its adventures!

Today we are headed to Pennsylvania! Let's get to it.

Video: Great Day St. Louis - DIY Entertaining

So yesterday I had another fun day at Great Day St. Louis. They invited me back to talk about simple ways to host a DIY holiday get together and of course, I obliged.

I threw together some ideas, took some pictures, and talked about what I could. I'm not an event planner nor designer, so I don't claim to have all the ins and outs of this sort of stuff. But, they keep asking me back and I keep having a blast! Guys, I could so get used to this. Anyone that knows me in real life, or heck-on the blog even, knows that this is quite possibly one of the biggest dreams of my life.

My other dream?

Meeting Britney Spears. And I'm not joking!

On a serious note though, I am forever grateful that the nice people at Great Day actually like me and want my availability for the next 6 months.

What?!?

I am pinching myself, friends. This is absolutely crazy talk and I can't believe it!

Christmas Additions

I shared most of our home Christmas decor with all of you already, but I've changed just a couple things and added some, too.

Just thought I'd let you take a little peek.

And...can you believe that Christmas is almost here? I was just talking to David the other day about how when we were little it seemed to creep by and as adults it flies by. I never believed my mom when she said that it would happen that way. Of course, I was a naive child and the holidays do seem to come and go in the blink of any eye now. I do however, try to enjoy every single second.

After all, it's the most wonderful time of the year. : )

I changed out the ribbon on our first tinsel wreath. I found this cut out felt ribbon at Tuesday Morning and scooped it right up using my Nate Berkus Experience gift card. Hooray. : )

And, here's my latest creation that I made for yesterday's Great Day St. Louis segment.

Did you all catch the show? If not, here's a link + the video below. Enjoy, friends.
