Master Bedroom Progress

Little by little, or maybe a lot by a lot, this house is coming together.  Of course, there are things to do for days but that's life and the fun of decorating and updating a new house.

Our master bedroom is looking very similar to the one in our first home because I haven't changed much of anything.  The biggest thing that I did was use the curtains that were once hanging in the living room in this room.

I think it is a vast improvement from the red that they loved, but that's just me.  Red just isn't my color.

So to remind you of where we started:

And now where we are at until I decide to switch things up:

Scoutie Bear wanted to make an appearance.  I'm pretty sure my father-in-law was using the nail gun in the other room and she was terrified. She usually runs from the camera.

I know the color is off in this one, but a photographer I am not.  I tried getting rid of that blown out window but no luck.  Ideally I would like a custom built window seat here.  A girl can dream!

I will probably hang those fabric panels again, but for now they're just resting on the nightstands.  I love those nightstands.  The styling, however, needs help.  But we're still unpacking a little around here.

The door to the left is our walk-in closet.  Woohoo! I love having more space. And you can see the carpet a little bit better in this image.  It's a tightly woven basket weave pattern in a mushroom color.  It reads beige at times and gray at others.

I forgot to take a picture of the long dresser/tv wall but I will get to that.  I did take some pics of our updated master bathroom so I will be sharing those soon!

Thanks for reading, guys.

xoxo

The progress looks great. I really like the carpet you chose: the subtle pattern is really lovely and the color is perfection. I can't wait to see the rest of the space.

Absolutely stunning Joi! It is amazing how the same room of furniture/decor can look different in a new space. Love it!

I think we're living in very similar era homes - the bay windows, vaulted ceilings and red paint that was apparently all the rage a decade + ago. Your bedroom looks great. Makes me want to move ours up the priority list!
