Las Vegas Loot

I wish I could say that my loot was lots and lots of dough, but alas, I won a mere $13 and then spent it trying to win more. Oh well! I came back even -steven so all's well that ends well.

What's even better is that I scored lots of fun clothing items and had money left over in my vaca budget. You can bet I was excited, even if it was just a couple of bucks to the positive.

My first score was this pair of banana scented hair products from The Body Shop. I randomly stopped in here to pick up some body scrub {which I forgot to photograph} and fell in love with the banana scent. We used to have a Body Shop in our local mall but it was replaced. I guess not having it made me miss it!

I find it kind of funny that I came home with four pairs of shoes. I had all along planned on buying the Tory Burch flats, but the others were random finds. The black wedges were on sale for $14.99 from Target, the super fun glitter flats were from Payless, and the Vans were from the Vans' store. I had been meaning on purchasing the Vans online for sometime but never did. When I saw a specialized Vans store, I knew I had to have my new kicks!

While we were at the Fashion Show mall I spent a large amount of time in the ginormous Forever 21. I tried on what seemed like a bazillion items but only came home with this southwestern inspired t-shirt and this pastel sheer top.

On the day we went to Hoover Dam we also stopped by a TJ Maxx and a Fashion Bug. What I find so stinking cute is that Maw Maw and I bought the same shirts. She's one cute chick. I tried to get her to wear hers on the same day as me but she wasn't game. Oh well! ; )

I wore this little number just the other day going out to eat with two of my most favorite ladies in all the world. I paired it with a leopard belt and I really liked it. I'm branching out, folks!

I also picked up this cute striped dress! It's one of those items that you think won't fit, but then surprisingly, it does! Woohoo! I think it's so cute!

I actually wore it the other day to work registration at school. It's extra comfortable and I'm glad I spotted it.

While at the Fashion Show mall we stopped in Dillard's and I fell in love with this zippered dress. It's a little more than I'm used to spending, but I loved it. I'm making it my first day of school dress. I wish I could say that I was impressed with the customer service I received in Dillard's but it was way less than sub-par. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I mean,'s Dillard's, not Rodeo Drive.

And finally, I scored this bold dress from one of our hotel's boutiques.

It caught my eye on one of the first days but I never tried it on. I really knew I wanted it when I spotted a lady wearing it a few days later. I went back and tried it on {twice to really make sure and loved it}. Thanks to my twitter friends for lending me your opinion when I twitpic'd this!

I know it's kinda crazy but I just really dig it. I think I'm going to wear it on mine and my guy's 6 year anniversary dinner that is just right around the corner. ♥

I am super pleased with my finds and am still glad that these additions didn't put my suitcase over the weight limit. Phew!

This post reminds me of my trip to NY- lots of shopping! I had planned on buying the TB flats but couldn't commit to buying them. Now I regret it and wished I had!

Amazing finds! LOVE every single item you bought. And that dress looks great on you.
I put myself on a shopping ban until end of this month but after seeing those glitter flats I might have to make an exception and hope Payless still has them.

I live in Vegas and the clerks at Dillards Fashion Show have been rude to me, too.

"What? You want to TRY ON those $80 shorts? But that means I have to walk all the way to the dressing room to let you in."

Ok. She didn't actually say that, but her eye roll made it pretty easy to read her mind.

Love the black & white stripey dress.
