My Sister-In-Law's Bridal Shower

Let me first just say that I am so lucky to have such a great sister-in-law. She has been in my life for just about 10 years now and we are great friends. I met Em when she was just entering highschool and now this weekend she's about to graduate from Pharmacy School with her Pharm.D. I am beyond proud of her for the work she has put into her schooling and the lovely lady she has become. I'm also happy to call Tim my future brother!

I've only been in one wedding thus far and feel so honored that for my second one I get to stand up next to Em. I, of course, was elated to plan a bridal shower in her honor with help from my mother-in-law and Em's other bridesmaids, too!

Months ago I started throwing around ideas and came up with a simple butterfly inspiration via Hostess With The Mostess. Basically I copied pretty much everything from her party idea and I'm happy to say it came together quite well despite the all the greens and different colored wallpaper I had going on in the room. Of course I had to incorporate some MS poms in there, which while we're on the topic, I found I needed at least 10 sheets of paper to look poofy enough!

I'll let the photos do the talking since that's what we all love anyway. Enjoy : ).

Low centerpieces--only thing missing was butterfly chocolate molds on the plates {will be seen in other photos!}

Beautiful!!
This is not on this topic, but I have that dress you're wearing and can't figure out how to wear it right, so I'm glad to see your styling of it :) Where'd you get those awesome shoes??

Ahhh I love wedding porn. If I didn't have to actually deal with people, I'd Adore planning these types of things! You guys did a super cute job, love the centerpieces!

I'm so glad you had this post. I'm doing a baby shower for my sister and plan on doing the pom poms. Plus I wanted to do paper flower arrangements since I'm cheap and can't afford a ton of fresh flowers. Everything looks so pretty and girly!!

I think I have to say the tissue paper flowers in the milk glass urns/vases are my favorite part (I think they are milk glass?) I almost thought they were real flowers for a minute! You did an amazing job:)

Hello

The decorations for the party look great. I am planning my grandma's surprise 70th birthday party and it will have a butterfly theme. You gave me some great ideas. By the way, where did you get the little cut out paper butterflies that were placed on the buffet table?

@Anonymous-How sweet--it sounds like a great party for your grandma. : )

I made those butterflies by tracing random butterfly images {printed from a google search} onto scrapbook paper. I cut them all out by hand while watching a lifetime movie!

Hi Joi,
Where did you find the tutorial for the "MS Pom"? I know there are a ton of tutorials out there, but these look awesome. Thanks!
