It's no shocker that I change my decor in my home more than the average Joe. It keeps me sane and happy and since my tastes change from minute to minute, it's something I have learned to go with the flow. Thank goodness that Mister of mine does too. Bless his heart for dealing with my ever-changing ways!
The current curtains in our master bedroom are currently on the cutting block. I bought these bad boys *almost* a year ago while we we San Diego for my sister-in-law's wedding. In fact, these same curtains put my luggage over the weight limit and I had to cough up an extra $50! I was not a happy camper, but such is life.
I still love the curtains, I really do, but I am fed up with the way they are hanging. They're too stiff and they bother me. I know it seems silly, but I get so frustrated with them.
For awhile now I've had my eye on this fabric by Anna Marie Horner. I spied this fun fabric via a random blog a few weeks back. I can't find that same blog now, but I did find this picture that showcases the lovely print even better!
Since I've decided to replace my current gray curtains, I've made my mind up to incorporate a graphic print {such as the one above}. While I {no surprise} LOVE a couple of options from Anthropolgie, my pocketbook cannot afford that damage. I could do 4 panels in the fabric you see above for just one Anthropologie panel. For a frugalista like me, this is a no brainer.
The graphic blue pattern from Anna was not my only choice...I also loved this geometric gray pattern.
I definitely know I want a larger scaled pattern, and while I think this one is great in so many ways, the print is unfortunately too little for what I have in mind.
So, long story short, I'm 90% sure that I'm going to bite the bullet and purchase the Anna Marie Horner fabric you see above! I hope I love it in my home as much as I love it on that pillow. So tell me, is anyone else feeling similar curtains woes? I'd love to empathize!

Great Day St. Louis [DIY "Art"]
Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to be a guest on Great Day St. Louis again. These monthly segments have been such a fun time for me and I hope it continues. Who would've thought I would get to share my passion with people in such a huge way?
I am humbled that they continue to ask me back and I am very, very thankful for getting to take part in such unforgettable life experiences!
This time Virginia and I got to chat about filling up the space in your home with items other than the big box store mass-produced art. I hope you like it!
Thanks for the support, guys!

What's Good In Your Hood {Monroe, LA}
It's already Wednesday!? Usually I'd say I'm happy we're half way through the work week, but with it being Spring Break, I'd like it to slow down. I love my days off...as if you couldn't tell. ; )
Today we're in Monroe, Louisiana and let me just say that this little search was diff-i-cult. The goods aren't flowing in Monroe. I tried my best; I promise!
If you want me to search your craigslist, check the list in my sidebar ---> to see if your city's in the lineup, if not, send me an email to Nuestravidadulce@gmail.com and I would be happy to add it to the list!

Patiently Waiting [Lilly Pulitzer Home]
The creator of these lovely images comes from the wonderful Lilly Pulitzer. Before this layout, LP conjured up images of polka dots & plaids with lots of pinky pinks and bright greens. And while I am a self proclaimed pink lover, I was not super obsessed with that particular clothing style.
But now, I am totally in L-O-V-E with LP. I took one look at this settee and fell head over heels for that pink dragon fabric. It's perfection for me!
Of course there was no price listed...so you know what that means. High dollar, peeps. High dollar.
After some googling, I figured out that LP is debuting a new home furniture line with HFI that is set to grace us with its presence any day now.
I've been scoping out HFI's facebook page to catch a sneak peek of the furniture and I am smitten. It's a shame that these items are probably going to be out of my reach!
Additionally, Lee Jofa is going to sell Lilly Pulitzer fabric!! I mustmustmust get that pink "Tail Lights Daiquiri Print" fabric. It definitely has a place in my home waiting for it.

What's Good In Your Hood {Asheville, NC}
Happy Monday, friends. Spring Break is here and in full effect and I'm hoping to make every second count. Today's agenda consists of a little bit of cleaning {which I weirdly enjoy}, a lot of relaxing, and attending our master's class at night. Tomorrow I'm lucky enough to be a guest on Great Day St. Louis again! I hope all of you St. Louisans tune in.
We're taking it out to the beautiful North Carolina today. Let's see what goodies await. : )

Flea Market Finds
Last weekend D and I got up early {for me, at least} and we headed to the Belle Clair Flea Market. We got there close to start time and we braved the crowds. It was my first ever flea market experience and it was pretty much what I expected. There were people everywhere, a lot of junk, and some diamonds in the rough! It brought back many memories of the numerous craft fairs my mom, maw maw, and I attended in my younger years. I hated those things, but I loved the time with those ladies. Who would've thought years later I'd be right back at the place I hated most. Go figure!
I say it over and over, but David always goes with the flow and is my right hand man. He's the best and I'm so thankful to have a husband who's along for the ride!
Some of the advertising boasted that this event would have over 700 vendors and I believe it! There were booths inside all of the different rooms and in different places outside as well! I only snapped a couple of phone pics at first, so you know the drill, please excuse the quality.

I spotted many things that I would've like to make mine, such as these plates:

But in the end I came home with very little. I first spotted these little tea towels and silver ice bucket as soon as we walked up. For less than $10 I made both of them mine on the spot. Done and done!
My last score was this brass set of bathroom accessories, and while you may be thinking she's nuts, I had/have a plan. I really only wanted the trashcan to use as a planter but the lady insisted I take the whole shebang! I know I won't get use out of the others but maybe someone might like them in a summer garage sale?

On our way home, we made a few other pit stops and I would've loved to make this canister set and bamboo pair my own. Looking at the photos again, I'm thinking I may go back! I see that look you're giving me...I may have a slight {albeit innocent} addiction to fabulous finds.

Super Serious Rug Crush
I've been finding myself thoroughly enjoying Saturday nights on HGTV! It's a treat to have Genevieve, Candice, and Emily all in one night! It could only get better if they decided to throw Sarah or Samantha into the mix! I wish HGTV would take note and add more shows with this flavor to their mix...I get so tired of seeing marathon episodes of House Hunters every other second. Anybody with me?
Last week's Secrets from A Stylist episode had me squealing out loud {sorry, Dave} when I saw that gorgeous fuschia pink rug in Joy and Bob's living room. Yes, I know the first look was loud {on purpose} but that rug spoke to me. I felt like it was reaching out and saying, "Joi, buy me!"
Crazy? Maybe! Haha! I have been thinking about it ever since and have been saving up my pennies for its over $1000 pricetag--say whaaa?!?
I know it's a lot of pink, and maybe too much for all you neutral lovers out there...but I am not normal {sorry mom!} and I capital A-dore the color pink. So, only time will tell how long it takes to make this bad boy mine. I already have a place for it in my home. Yup, I'm officially obsessed.
Oh, and I tweeted about its source this weekend and Emily tweeted me back! Talk about starstruck! I love how social media connects us all and it blows my mind how one minute I can have a question and the next minute the star of the show is personally answering it---too incredibly wonderful and I don't think I will ever get over loving it!
Who would've thought I could get so mushy over social media...only me. Geezo.
