Her recap of the day's events are a fun read! I'd head on over to her blog to see some more photos!
So, back to Friday....Dave and I made the drive across Illinois and Indiana and managed to arrive in enough time to grab some dinner overlooking the river. Thanks for the rec, E!
We then hit up an outdoor mall where I scored a yummy candle I had previously passed on at Anthropologie and a cute tank from Francesca's. I also made sure we hit up 32 Degrees, a fro-yo cafe!
On Saturday morning I woke up early and headed out to our first stop. Even though the pic's a little blurry, I want you to know I started out the day looking kinda cute until the rain put a damper on that hair of mine!
A huge "thank you" goes out to Gail and MeganDVD for organizing an absolutely wonderful day of fun!
While at the Salvation Army I picked up a pair of shoes and this great colorful tin!
I actually own two other tins in this collection so I think I am going to spray paint this one so that the raised pattern shows through. We shall see...
Also, I've been branching out with thrifting clothing and I think I'm liking it! These gold flats are from Target and are in pretty good condition.
At the Goodwill I scored this faux bamboo shelf plant stand piece for $2.00!
During a little side jaunt, E was kind enough to take a couple of us over to Home Goods, my main shop! I fell in love with this tall shelf and would've purchased it if there was another one. I love, love, love it! Anyone seen anything like it around? I'd be tickled pink if I could score two of these for our office!
I did come away with one purchase though...a pair of pillows! E caught a candid of me and the supremely sweet and likable, Miranda!
Around 1 p.m. we headed to Lynn's cafe and had a yummy lunch and got to chat some more! Thanks, Missy, for the photo below!
Carmel and Mallie were some of my table mates across the table from me!
E's sister was my neighbor at lunch and the nicest and most helpful lady all day! She was a pleasure to get to hang out with!
As if the shopping, friendship, and food wasn't enough...Gail and E made sure we were also hooked up with a lot of swag from Gorilla Glue, Krylon Spray Paint, and DecoArt paints!
I'm giving the green trellis pillows a break and introducing my new julep jaunt pillows to the rotation. So far, so good.

I felt like a celebrity with all of this free stuff! The sponsor companies were so generous to us! We ended the day at a couple downtown shops and settled in for a group picture at E's fav gift shop, Regalo.
I am so grateful and so happy for this experience to chit-chat and network. While I didn't get to chat up everybody, some of the ladies I got to meet and catch up with were complete sweethearts!

I'm still ecstatic that we had the chance to meet up! Your weekend in KY looks like it was a blast...but then again, with so many awesome bloggers, that was a given!
Joi,
Reading your blog this morning warmed my heart! My hubby and I moved from Kentucky back to California after college, 4 years ago and seeing your pictures brought back some sweet memories! Did you love the Peddler's Mall?? My mom and I used to frequent it all the time and sadly have found nothing comparable in CA. I also loved the pic at Lynn's- another familiar place! Anyway, thanks for the lovely post, what a fun read this morning!
SO much fun meeting you! Love that tin - I missed that purchase. I can't wait to see where you put that bamboo shelf stand - what a steal! I had such a great time - you're such a sweetie!
Looks like you had so much fun! You weren't far from me...I'm in Richmond, IN. :) And I remember MeganDVD from the good old days on The Nest. Some day I'll have to participate in a blogger GTG - looks like a blast!
What a great post to document our lovely day! I swear my dear...I would never have kept surgery from us meeting up. It was beyond wonderful. I am thrilled that you had such a memorable time and that you got to meet so many new friends. It WAS a great time. My sister just adores you..and I love the pic of her and I...so cute. The one of us is uber cute too. I hoep this is just the beginning of many more adventures. Let me know when and where....and I will be there my dear. :)
Cheers~

Great post Joi! :) I am so glad that you and David made the trip! It was a pleasure to meet you.
You got some cute things, the pillows look great in their new home.
I hope you have a good summer, don't work too hard studying, k?
I'm happy that you enjoyed yourself and made some new friends on our jaunt.

Awww! I can't believe you got to hang out with E and Carmel! Three of my fav bloggers in one place... I'm so jealous! : ) Looks like ya'll had so much fun!
Joi, it was great to meet you on Saturday at the Jaunt! I didn't get a chance to tell you, but I absolutely loved your shirt. When I got up that morning, it seemed like everything I wanted to wear was dirty or need to be ironed! I totally missed seeing that tin that you bought, but it's super-cute.
Hi Joi,
Great to meet you Saturday, sorry I didn't get to talk to you more I was intent on gathering farm toys for the baby shower ! Can't wait to see what you do with your bamboo table, I love it! A blogging adventure in St Louis would be great ! Look forward to seeing you again, E in TN (front row right)
Looks like a great weekend. So cool to meet blogger friends.
Where did you get your black and white shirt? I love it!
Joi, You're blog is so sweet. I've been following for a few months. Today I thought of you while I was at Homegoods. If only you lived in Amish Country, PA. There were 2 of your blue bookcases there!
