This morning I walked into my classroom and this is the sight that greeted me:
I was laughing so hard and my mind immediately turned to the possible culprits! This little incident was so clever and so fun! I saw this note on the board & I had originally thought my graudating seniors came back for one last hurrah...
I was proven wrong when a ton of my "new" seniors strolled in with mischievous grins on their faces. Apparently, one random day in the year someone had a balloon and I freaked out about the possibility of it popping. {Side note: I hate to be startled!} So these kiddos got together, blew up over 500 balloons, came into school super early, and put them in my room for me to "enjoy".
They were scared I would be mad but I totally loved it! I think it's great that they thought to pull a harmless prank and I will remember it forever. If this is a sign of things to come, I can rest assured that their senior year will be a ton of fun! I just gotta watch my back. ; )

Aw, that is too cute! I'm totally scared of balloons to. They freak me out when someone squeezes them!
This is so cute. Very harmless, but a pretty awesome idea nonetheless! :)
I started smiling as soon as I saw the post.
What a great way to end the school year.

Yeah we dont get out until the last week of June here in New York. I love the "balloon room" My husband once did this in college. He'd come to visit me and I had to leave for class. While I was gone he blew up ?????### balloons and FILLED my dorm room! I literally could not walk in the door there were so many.
I should've known:years later he became a (fabulous) balloon artist on the side. See some of his work here:

You must be a great teacher for them to pull a stunt like that. It speaks highly of you, in my opinion.
I will NOT being sharing that with my fourth graders.
What a sweet note! I bet you are a great teacher!
xx
I'm the SAME was about ballons-hate them! If I walked into that, I'd prob laugh for a sec, then frantically let all the air out of them before other's came in to pop them.
You lucky girl! We still have until next Friday :(
haha that's so funny! It's so cool to see that they are comfortable with joking around with you! It sure shows that they love you & you are a good teacher! =)
That's a might good prank! Its good that you have a sense of humor about it :) I teach first year psychology and its a night class... one year I was teaching on Halloween and three people dressed up as PacMan and the ghosts ran up and down the aisles of the class - that was interesting :)
