Somebody Stop Me

In the span of one week I've purchased two shower curtains. I know, I know. But!, both were on sale, so it makes it a little better.

I haven't managed to snap any pics, but as soon as I do, I'll let you see the goods.

However, however, I cannot seem to get Ms. Kate Spade's guest bathroom out of my head.

Photobucket

Yes, I've seen it before and yes, I've always liked it. But, here's the thing, I recently saw it again and I felt like I wanted it, ok needed it, in my house.

That is not good. What in the world would I do with green walls in a year? Folks, talk me off the edge here. I think paint color #6 in our bathroom would be just a smidge ludicrous considering we've only been here a little over 5 years.

Don't ya think?

Are you with me?

After all, I think I'm just in love with those dang stripes on that shower curtain...

Agreed. I love it and think you should go for it. It's just paint after all! I am so smitten with those stripes too but finding wide striped fabric is difficult - I've been searching forever! I suppose you could always paint them like do did on your curtains....btw, how do those feel? Are they kind of stiff or do you not even notice it? Thanks!

Love it! We were thisclose to painting our bathroom (complete with luscious clawfoot tub) a beautiful grassy green like this, and now I wish I had.

Call me a bad influence...but I am so in love with this bathroom. PLEASE do it!

I have a shower curtain almost exactly like that one that I got at Target! If you really covet the shower curtain I'd look there to start.

Well, I guess you can figure out what my opinion is. DO IT & DO IT NOW! Actually, I think Target has a very similar version in a shower curtain, at least they did a while back. Can't wait to hear & see the results.

I saw go for it! I love that colour green in bathrooms... hence why I used it in our basement bathroom. Kept everything white except the walls and used Valspar's "Lime Candy". Everyone loves it... and almost a year later... I still love it also! It's so lively! DO IT!

Life is to fragile to not do what makes you happy!Go for it sister!!!

GO FOR IT!!! It's paint. You've already repainted 5 times now, what's a 6th time? ;)

Also, Target sells a similar shower curtain for $24.99 (I think). The stripes aren't as large but it's something to think about if that's the look you're going for and can't find an identical one to Kate's!

That's a great looking bathroom. It's just paint! We just finished our 3rd paint color in 5 years in our bathroom and I think its awesome. Especially in a bathroom is nice for a fresh start on a regular basis :)

I'm an enabler...especially when it comes to new purchases! :)

I'm not so sure about the zebras though...but I have seen you do some impressive things!

Great blog!

First, painting a bathroom is far easier than a bedroom or main room because they are so small. I think a bathroom is a good place to go for something bold- so I say do it! =) Second, the curtains remind me a bit of your DIY Chevron curtains which I LOVE love love. =) So yeah... I'm not the person to talk you out of this!

I second and/or third everyone who mentioned the Target shower curtain, we have it and it is one I have cycled through many apartment and now home bathrooms! I am 90% sure they still sell it.

Can I just say that picture took my breath away? I'm usually not one for really bold colors but this is just awesome. And I don't need a shower curtain at all but I picked up a kelly green and white shower curtain that was on clearance at Dillards. It's a trellis-type pattern and it was just too darn pretty to pass up.

ooh I love it! What if instead of going with the green walls, you just went with the shower curtain? Is it like the ones you purchased? If not, maybe you could MAKE one...ya know, like how you made the chevron curtains? I'm sure they'd turn out just as fabulous! :)

Um. Paint it green. PLEASE! Oh, and I am in love with that shower curtain. I have big plans for the West Elm version in the Mr's man bathroom.

Oooh, I love the green/white/black combo. I just re-did our bathroom with green and white, and I love it! It's so crisp and refreshing. I think bathrooms are more tempting to paint (and re-paint) since they don't take as long!
