I found this tutorial, via Lindsay's blog and knew I had to make something similar. And once I get an idea in my head, I usually act very fast.
I went to Joann's last weekend, swooped up some yarn and felt and then came straight home and spent about 2 hours making this little cutie.
The most labor intensive part was wrapping the yarn around the wreath. Other than that, everything was easy peasy.
I love this DIY project because it was cheeaap. All together it cost less than $10! You see two packages of yarn in the supplies, but that is misleading because I only used one. I actually bought three to be on the safe side, and now I can return them!
The most difficult part of this project was deciding a color scheme. I'm very surprised that I left out my favorite tried and true color: pink! Shocking.

Joi, very cute. You can also easily make the rosettes with felted wool from old sweaters. You should pick up a fun sweater on your next Goodwill run. ;)

I tried out this idea last night and it turned out great I must say! I bought a small green foam wreath from Dollar Tree and it seemed to work pretty good because it was so firm. Thanks for the idea!

I'll second the cheap green wreath form from Dollar Tree. I used it to make an argyle wreath (blogged about it here: http://comfortandjoyblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/wreaths-that-dont-suck.html) and it turned out beautifully. I'm thinking about doing another one and making the floral wreath for a Christmas present.
How fun is this wreath?! Some of the yarn wreaths I've seen look a little cheesy, but this is pure lovely.
