I wish I could take credit for this adorable idea you're about to read about, but the only thing I did was follow the instructions!
I found this tutorial, via Lindsay's blog and knew I had to make something similar. And once I get an idea in my head, I usually act very fast.
I went to Joann's last weekend, swooped up some yarn and felt and then came straight home and spent about 2 hours making this little cutie.
The most labor intensive part was wrapping the yarn around the wreath. Other than that, everything was easy peasy.
I love this DIY project because it was cheeaap. All together it cost less than $10! You see two packages of yarn in the supplies, but that is misleading because I only used one. I actually bought three to be on the safe side, and now I can return them!
The most difficult part of this project was deciding a color scheme. I'm very surprised that I left out my favorite tried and true color: pink! Shocking.
Let me know if you try this project out for yourself...I'd love to see your interpretations. : )

Joi, you should change your name to Martha Stewart, Jr. You rock! I love the wreath and I'm definitely going to try it out for the Christmas season :) Thanks!
I've been looking for a tutorial! I almost bought one from Etsy for about $35 but just coudn't pull the trigger on it. I'm so glad you mentioned this and you did it for around $10! Thanks!
I made this same wreath a little while ago! I love how your flowers turned out...I think I might have to add some to mine!

Incredibly cute! I'm tempted...
Love it! I've had a similar wreath bookmarked for a good 6 months . . . I should get on that. :)
Ha! I love the blogging world! I saw your wreath and said "Oh she used my wreath idea"! but I got the idea from someone else who got it from someone else. Just spreading the DIY love around. ;)
Yours is adorable, love the blues and whites!
Yours turned out awesome!!! I think I might make some as Christmas gifts
Loving those felt flowers....what a great project!
Joi, very cute. You can also easily make the rosettes with felted wool from old sweaters. You should pick up a fun sweater on your next Goodwill run. ;)
This is so pretty and such a chic spin on a traditional wreath. The felt roses are so cute!

Thanks Joi for posting this, I am going to try it this weekend. I've seen them selling for a pretty penny on etsy, and was scared to try it myself. Now that there is a tutorial trying it is a must.
Yesterday was the perfect day for you to post this. Having the day off, my sister and I had a crafting afternoon. I made the wreath and I love it.

Thanks for the inspiration!
We just did this with the kids at our church to take to the area nursing homes this year. And I can't wait to see what you come up with from the Dallas CL.
love!!

Joi,
I tried out this idea last night and it turned out great I must say! I bought a small green foam wreath from Dollar Tree and it seemed to work pretty good because it was so firm. Thanks for the idea!
Amanda Houston
I'll second the cheap green wreath form from Dollar Tree. I used it to make an argyle wreath (blogged about it here: http://comfortandjoyblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/wreaths-that-dont-suck.html) and it turned out beautifully. I'm thinking about doing another one and making the floral wreath for a Christmas present.
How fun is this wreath?! Some of the yarn wreaths I've seen look a little cheesy, but this is pure lovely.
Thanks for all the inspiration you've given me through your blog...I've especially been inspired by your kitchen and silver leaf art! So fun!
I awarded you today on my blog!
Blessings,
Holly
