I ♥ IKEA

While we were in San Diego I made sure that we reserved some time to fit in a stop to one of my favorite spots ever, IKEA. It'd be nice if St. Louis could someday get one and I'd be one happy girl!

I purchased some dark grey curtains on a total whim for the bedroom and those suckers ended up putting me over my suitcase weight limit, too!

I hadn't planned on changing the bedroom curtains, but after seeing them in store, I had to have them. I think I was getting tired of the sun coming in through our white curtains so much in the morning and thus these new curtains were an easy and quite the dramatic fix. The old curtains were grommet style and thus hung quite a bit lower.

Dave was a dear and moved the curtain rod up quite a bit so I could use ring clips with the new set. Which, by the way, I scored these Cindy Crawford rings for $20 thanks to a misprint on the ad in store!

I have plans to most likely hang some sort of roman shades underneath, I'm just not sure if I want to go with white or a natural textured set. I guess time will tell. : )

Oh, and I slept til almost 12 yesterday because of these babies. Go me. Teacher summers are the life. ♥

xoxo

I love those curtains!! They really transform the room! What is the name of those curtains. I'm not seeing them on the website! Hopefully my local Ikea will have them!!

ooooh - is your pintuck white duvet from West Elm? I've been on the fence about buying it. Will you tell me how you like it? Pros and cons?

Thanks!

Love the new glam look with those curtains! And I looove those pillows--Crate and Barrel?

And yes, I love Ikea too. I'm so sad without it here in Hawaii but am definitely planning on hitting it up when we fly back to the mainland this summer! And I will probably overload my suitcase too. :)

@Rebecca-It is the Target version and I love it. Funny thing is I used to have the cream West Elm version a couple years ago and wanted the crisp white color so I went with the cheaper one. No complaints here--it has held up quite well and we wash it with a little bleach and all looks good. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need more clarification!

Love the bedroom!! I also love Ikea we have one semi close to use.. but it's still atleast an hour to get there so we try to stock up when we go.

Enjoy your summer!! Teachers work their tails off during the school year! Enjoy it! :)

I love those curtains! And keeping out that pesky sunlight in the mornings is definitely a plus.

Sadly, I have never been to an Ikea. I don't even know where the nearest one would be. It's probably best that I don't know what I'm missing out on. :(
