Oooooh...I am so excited to share with all of you just a snippet of the finished project! The table took a day to make {thanks, Dan!} and a couple of days to condition, stain, and poly {go me!}.
Total cost ended up close to $150 {wood, conditioner, stain, new paint brush, and tacky cloth--we already had a can of poly}. I promise to go in depth better in an upcoming post of the behind the scenes play by play. : )
I am beyond happy with the finished product and can't say enough wonderful and positive things about the absolute best father-in-law in the world to whom I am forever very grateful and thankful. Thanks for always being the brains and brawn behind my crazy ideas. : )
More images coming very soon. Stay tuned!
xoxo

Gorgeous- just like I knew it would be when you first mentioned the table. I just love wood grain- and I love the look of stain enhancing it. I'm definitely interested in hearing about your technique- I've stained a lot of pieces (currently staining a kids picnic table I made!), but I have never heard of conditioner. Great job, Joi!
Absolutely gorgeous! The grain is beautiful! And I agree that your father in law is a pretty awesome guy!!
Ack! Love it! You're such a tease, can't wait to see the whole thing!!
