But, I do make trips to the basement here and there, and the old ironing board cover was just not my style at all. Hello red, white, and blue! I love me some America, but stripes in those colors just don't do it for me.
But, never fear, Homegoods always comes to the rescue for me. At only $10 how in the world could I pass up this absolutely lovely yellow and grey damask number?
I almost want to make some pillows out of it! Now, for the rest of the basement...well she's got a long way to go!

Nice Damask design. Love the yellow and gray colors. I have to say HomeGoods has items for every little thing in your home. With this store there is no reason as to why all parts of our home can not be stylish. Love your blog.
I need to do this. I like it! My basement/laundry area needs tons of help too. It's a bit overwhelming, but some fabric and a little paint can really go a long way, can't they?
I love reading your blog- Right up my alley!

haha.. You DID need it! ;) I'm on your side on this one, girl. But, I'm going to die laughing if I see this pattern pop up in a future living room or bedroom post! That's gotta be an original- pillows from and ironing board cover! :)
I love it! I couldn't have passed it up either :)
Pretty!
$10...that's only like two coffees. It's beautiful!
Niiiice! Dave's such a sport.
It's got an ikat look to it! This makes me want to go out and actually buy an ironing board. Right now, I just throw my clothes in the dryer on the "air fluff" setting.
So pretty! I am on a search for a new (cheap) ironing board cover and now I just might have to go to Homegoods now on my search. That will be so painful:).
Cute!
So pretty. Home Goods is the best!
Just wanted to give you a heads up, that you have been given a beautiful blogger award by yours truly! Thanks for inspiring me!
definitely an improvement :)
I've been looking for an ironing board cover for like forever. I never thought Homegoods. Thanks for the lead! That store gets me into some trouble! It's my close to home happy place when no kiddos are in tow!
Oh my god...I bought the same ironing board cover but mine was on clearance for $5 at HomeGoods! I'm using mine a bit differently (meaning not on my ironing board) that I'll post on my blog soon.
I have a swatch of fabric that looks a lot like that and I'm planning to make curtains for my dining room out of the fabric. Its very expensive fabric though so I haven't bought it yet....
I thought I'd show you how I used the same ironing board cover: http://athomewithh.blogspot.com/2010/03/how-to-make-chair-cover-from-ironing.html
