I love sharing my ideas/stories/shopping finds/crafty projects with all of you and I adore reading all of your fabulous blogs, too.
So in the spirit of blogiveraries and Christmas, what better time to host my version of the Pass It On giveaway than now?!? Just a refresher, I was the lucky winner of an adorable pink damask apron and luxurious hand lotion from fellow blogger, Erin, over at {A Day in the Life} and now it's my turn to offer up some goodies!
Here are my favorite things {sorry Michael, money was tight...maybe a car will be on the list next year--hehe!} that you all have a chance at winning:
01} Three absolutely scrumptious dark chocolate graham crackers. I dare you to not fall madly in love with these!
02} My favorite scent of fall and winter...Bath and Body Works' Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Wall Flower starter kit. Your home will smell super delicious, I promise!
03} Blistex Silk & Shine Lip balm. The scent is yummy and it's never messy or goopy. Also, it has a subtle shine, but isn't glossy, so it's good for women as well as men!
04} A fun purply-black shade of OPI's Nicole brand nailpolish titled, "Show You Care" hmmm, how appropriate!
05} Better Homes and Garden's special edition magazine: Before and After! Lots of inspiration pictures and helpful articles to be found!
06} A pop of color to add to your wardrobe in my favorite shade this winter: a purple pashima-esque scarf!
07} Last, but not least, a safe and cancer free option to keeping that healthy glow this winter. Olay Body's Touch of Sun daily body lotion!
You wanna win? Here's what you gotta do:
- To enter this contest, simply leave a comment telling me about your favorite memory/aspect of the holiday season!
- If you'd prefer not to participate, I totally understand. But I would still love to hear from you, so please feel free to leave a comment anyway. De-lurking is encouraged! And everyone is invited!
- I will print out your comments {gotta have them in by Saturday night at Midnight central time}, toss them in a basket, and have Dave and Niko draw the names of the winner on Sunday, December 21st. I will post the results the next day.
- The winner will need to email me some sort of address in order for me to mail their gifts. I promise I'm not a stalker. I will not drive to your house and leave you creepy gifts of headless dolls on your porch. I'll send you your gift and then destroy your address and all other evidence promptly.
- The name of the game is Pass It On, so if you are a winner, it's encouraged that you in turn do something similar for your readers {and if you don't have a blog--something nice for someone you know!}.Sound like a plan? Now hop to it! : )

Ooh how fun!! The Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Wall Flower sounds YUMMY!!!
One day around Christmas my entire family meets at my grandparent's farm in Iowa...it is always my favorite day of the year. We play in the snow, eat amazing food, play games...I love every minute of it!
One of my favorite holiday memories was being a little kid and watching for Santa at my aunt's house on Christmas Eve. One year my cousin's and I looked up into the sky and we saw the most beautiful shade of red. What was probably just an amazing sunset to the rest of the world was evidence to us that rudolph's nose was shining brightly, and Santa would be at our homes with his bag of gifts soon!
My favorite holiday memory happened when I was a little kid. My dad jokingly said to my siblings and me that all of our presents had to fit under the Christmas tree. Well, that year we found the fattest tree, which ended up being the ugliest tree ever! Every year we still joke about the "ugly" tree while decorating our tree.
Happy Blogiversary!
As a child, we always spent Christmas Eve at my Nanny and Papa's house. We would have meatloaf for dinner and then open all of our presents. One year, my brother, cousin and I marked almost every toy in the Sears catalog...and we received almost every toy in the Sears catalog. We used to have so much fun there on Christmas Eve.
How fun!!
How about our new favorite Christmas traditions? Our fun Christmas tradition is to have fondue (mainly cheese, bread, chocolate and fruit) every Christmas Eve. Then, while the two boys are having their bath on Christmas Eve night, the "Elves" leave them a new set of pajamas under the tree. They wear them for Christmas Eve night / morning. Some years, the Elves leave DH a set of pjs, too!
Congrats on one year! Love your blog! Those trees you made are awesome!!! My favorite thing about the holidays are parties with my family and friends and playing fun games. But most reciently is just spending time in our own home listening to xmas music and decorating the house!
Mine would have to be watching my Grandmother make tamales. She has the method and is very systematic in her preparation. She makes over 20 dozen this time of year.
When I was a little girl I asked her why her tamales tasted so good and she told me "It's the love Mijita".
She's finally letting me into the kitchen this Saturday to teach me how to make tamales. SO EXCITED!
OMG! I would kill for those dark chocolate graham crackers right now! Congrats on the 1 yr. anniversary, Joi! The best thing about the holidays is getting together with family and watching the nieces and nephews open presents! Nothing better to see the pure joy on their faces!
What a fabulous giveaway! Okay my favourite Christmas memory ... when I was a pre-teen I so badly wanted a personal stereo but my dad refused to let any of us 4 kids get one. He said that everyone he'd seen using one walked around with the headphones on looking brain-dead and stupid and zoned out of the world around them.
Anyway, fast forward to Christmas Eve and we were each allowed to open one gift ... each of us 4 kids got a personal stereo, each in a different colour (mine was yellow) and I felt so happy that I was afraid I would cry! I was totally overwhelmed with excitement.
Happy Anniversary, Joi!
I'm a total Scrouge this year, but my favorite part of Christmas is the family get together. We spend Christmas Eve with Jay's family, then immediately after go to my parents' house to open gifts from Santa. Christmas morning we have breakfast with Jay's parents, then get together with my family for a big dinner with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, kids, kids, and more kids. It's totally chaotic, but so much fun.
Take me out of the running for obvious reasons but believe me if I hadn't already hosted my own Pass It On, I would SO participate. That pashmina-esque scarf and polish need me and I need them =)
1 year! What did I do before your blog came into my life? Love ya, Joi!
My favorite holiday memory is anytime friends and family get together for a huge, boisterous meal. Laughing and eating. It doesn't get better than that!
It looks like we have the same taste. Love the purple scarf and nailpolish! Such a cute idea!
Ok, my favorite aspect of the holiday season is the decorations. I love driving by the houses in my neighborhood with the gorgeous lights. It reminds me of every weekend after thanksgiving growing up, when my parents set up the tree and we would hang all the ornamets while my mom played christmas music. So much fun!
I guess I should come out of the lurking closet now!
My favorite memories of the holiday is of growing up. When I was younger, we'd wake up early to go to the Martinez Christmas Tree farm, and spends hours looking for the perfect tree to cut down. We'd leave popcorn to "mark" our favorites, then chop it down! We'd then spend the WHOLE day decorating the house, the tree, and hang lights outside. We'd play the same Christmas tape over and over and to this day, it's still my favorite tape. My dad sings on the end of the tape-it's great! I hope to pass that tradition along to my kids
Happy Blogiversary to YOU!
What a fun giveaway.
Well, my favorite holiday memory was Christmas 04 when my husband proposed in front of my entire (very large) family. Some may say it is so cliche but whatev it was perfect b/c I am very close to my family and Christmas Eve is my fav holiday. Christmas Day we all went to Mexico (parents live close to the border) and my entire family took over a restaurant/bar and danced the night away celebrating! It was perfect!
Ladies in long, festive, holiday dresses. Dads in mock turtlenecks and jackets. My sister and I in sweet velvet frocks, and my brother in a cute little plaid suit coat. Much laughter and cheer in front of a toasty fireplace. Family, food, festivity -- and looking out the snow-frosted windows to see Santa's sleigh shooting across the sky (at least that's what they told us!).
Fun contest!
I think my favorite holiday memory is one that has changed now that I am married. When I lived at home, we went to church on Christmas Eve. When we came home, my sister and I got to open one present (conveniently it was always new Christmas pajamas!), and then my dad would sit down and read Santa Mouse and The Polar Express to us. We all sat and listened with the Christmas lights on and the fire lit. It is a tradition I hope to continue one day and one that I will never forget.
Yeah for Christmas memories!
Oh! I wanna play! My favorite Christmas memory was when I was about 10 and we had a huge ice storm... my parents driveway is really long and uphill, so our entire drive was unless. We had to tie a rope to a post at the top of the drive, park at the bottom and pull ourselves up using the rope. One day, we were all taking turns and my mom slipped and slid almost all the way down until she got caught by a post! We were all laughing hysterically while she was so mad at us for not helping she was crying. We were really mean, but eventually helped her up. It's one of those memories I will always have a visual of!
How fun!
My favorite part of the holidays is decorating while listening to Christmas music, and celebrating our anniversary on December 15th!
My mom use to take us to the North Pole when we were little and it actually was Big Bear Mountain. They use to have Santa's Village and it was set up like the northpole! Loved it!!! it's gone now but the memories are still there!

My favorite Christmas memories are of Christmas Eve at my grandparents' house. We had the same dinner and wonderful snacks every year. There's nothing like being together as a family.
My favorite holiday memory is the first Christmas Eve that I started hosting, about 6 years ago. And it has become a tradition and we all rotate hosting Christmas Eve now. I can;t wait until it's my turn again.
