We also fit in a nice long walk with our two sweet doggies on which I spotted a LA Rams trashcan in my neighbor's trash. D and I drove back by later and scooped it up. I have big plans for this can and will probably start working on it next week.
We also made a couple stops for some mulch and flowers to spruce up our flower beds and flower pots. We always grossly undersestimate our mulch needs and will be making another stop for more next weekend. Whoops.
I am elated that my peony bush I planted about three years ago finally may grace us with some blooms!!! Woohoo!
I'm also super excited that I scored another large peony bush for $11 {on the right}. I've got my fingers crossed for some gorgeous flowers from these two.
On Sunday David and I took our first home tour that included 8 houses from neighboring communities. It was our first time on one of these tours and I was so so excited to see some awesome interior decor.
Well, I came away less than impressed in that arena but it was a treat to be able to see some really large homes that I might not otherwise have the chance to see. I snapped a couple of phone pics of the exteriors and other things that caught my eye.
This house was HUGE and was a former ranch style home on which the owners had built an addition.
The backyard had a gorgeous in-ground pool and a ginormous tiki hut with tons of seating, a bar, and an outdoor fireplace.
The other homes were often very lovely on the outside but the inside just was not my cup of tea.
However, out of everything I saw on Sunday, this bathroom was my favorite. Wallpaper has been on my mind for awhile now and I enjoyed this burst of pattern.
I'm pumped for the next two weekends because I'm heading to this mid-century modern style home tour and the Central West End's Mansions home tour as well! It's funny because I've never been to one of these home tours until this past weekend and now my entire month of May is filled with them! : )

I would love to do the CWE home tour. Is David going with you?
The Central West End's Mansions tour will be AWESOME! Please recap.
And I'm loving the rug on your porch. So cute.
I love that you said you weren't impressed with some of the interiors of the homes on the tour...I always say that it doesn't matter how much $$ you spend on your interior, if you don't have good taste it will still look cheap! I hope that the masion tour is better!
this makes me want to run out and buy a peony bush for our yard! They're one of my favorite flowers!
Ohhh! I can't wait to see if you post pics from the MCM tour!
@Anna-Dave's going and so is my friend Melissa. I would love for you to come along, too! : )
@Kim-Thanks, dear. I am ridiculously excited for it!
Love the CWE tours. Soulard has some great home tours too. The Christams one is my fav.
Enjoy your day!

FYI.. Lafayette Square has an annual home and garden tour in June (complete with Antique Fair all around the Park!!!) as well as a Holiday Parlor tour in December. I'm just saying. :)
Forgive me if I missed it but did the clothes hamper planters get replaced? Did they not hold up? Your front stoop looks great!
