Every Friday after school I swing by my hometown's Salvation Army Thrift Store. It may be the highlight of my day depending on how good those students of mine behaved. : )
My success is usually 50/50! I mostly only look at home decor stuff, but I think I am going to start branching out to the clothing section. I live on the edge, I tell ya!
Luckily, last Friday I scored all of this for less than $7 smack-a-roos. Yum!
I've given some of the items a fresh coat of paint and once I decide where to put these little gems I'll definitely let you all know.
How many of you guys love thrifting? Has it been a forever favorite pastime or something you more recently fell in love with like I have?
And, all of you StL readers {if you're out there} where are your favorite thrift stores located? I'm dying to take some trips out to some new ones!
Thanks, loves.

One of my absolute favorite past times. It's the thrill of the hunt! You never know what you're going to find.

I used to go thrifting with my mom as a little girl, and have only recently rekindled my love for thirsting. It is definitely the thrill of the hunt...you just never know what you'll find.
Just a little tidbit...in the town I live in, The Salvation Army (most specifically their furniture) runs just a bit more expensive than the local Goodwill. Both definitely worth checking out though!
Happy hunting to you!

I do love hitting the thrift stores every once in awhile, but I almost never pass up an estate sale or auction. That is where I find the good stuff. And in a big city like St.L, there has to be a ton.
I love the thrift stores! It's been a week or two, I'm suffering withdrawal. lol Great finds, Joi!

I love to thrift, though I don't get to do it often enough. Most places give you a funny look if you bring in 3 kids with you, lol! Have a great weekend Joi.
Thrifting is relative new to me. I got motivated after seeing all the amazing things other people find.
I'm trying to stay away since I have so much already! I know you have something fabulous your going to do with your finds.
Oooh, I love the baroque frame!
I don't think I have the eye (or the stomach) for thrifting. All I can focus on is the smell.
I went to the Value Village in Mackenzie Point a few weeks ago and wasn't too impressed by the lamps/decor/accessories, but they did have a fairly decent furniture selection. Bonus, there's a fantabulous antique store next door. I really love the antique mall in Eureka by Six Flags too.
I love to thrift, but lately I've had less time to do it lately. I need to get back into the habit like you. I actually don't usually buy a ton of things. I'm bad with knick-knacks and don't have the vision, but I like to peruse the furniture and bigger items. I also like to get jackets for work there, as I can find name brand blazers for a steal.
