I decided that this year I would save for one and finally hit the mark! Now, I have always wanted the simple and classic monogram [as seen above] but here lately I've been digging the Damier 35.

Finally!
I've finally saved up enough cash to buy one of the bags I've always had my heart set on. For the longest time I have always wanted a Louis Vuitton Speedy 35.
I think my crush on this bag dates back to when Jessica Simpson always carried her multicolored one on Newlyweds.
What's a girl to do? Obviously both are not in the cards. ; ) Which do you prefer...if at all?

Monogram - I've had my Speedy for 4 years now and I love it! I saved for mine too (ebay earnings) - congratulations and let us know which one you decide on!
I like them both! What a tough choice but if I were going to purchase one I would pick the second one. It is more unexpected.
About a year ago I reluctantly bought the Damier 35 thinking that I may regret it in a couple of months. It's been a year and four months, and I still love it. I use it everyday. I knew I wanted the Speedy which is very popular, but the Damier design is carried far less around here. I like that.
I have always liked the traditional monogram style but I think after looking at them and wearing them, etc. I prefer the look of the Damier. It matches a bit more and it doesn't seem so "in your face" with the LV (just my opinion), more of a classy look. Let us know which you get, both are gorgeous.
I like the Damier 35..a bit more mod and up to date. Congrats and enjoy the whole shopping experience. You know how they package it up for you and strut your stuff around the mall!!
I say go for the classic - it is the one you've been lusting after and it will NEVER go out of style.

Totally get the Damier print! I have my own Louis picked out in that print. It's the Sistina PM in the Damier print . I think th LV logos all over the purse look kind of cheap now. It seems like everyone has one (just like Coach purses with the C all over it) and so many knockoffs have the LV logo. I'm happy you are finally getting one!
I have the orginal LV version and LOVE it. It so timeless! Either one is gorgeous. Congrats!

Is saving a little longer an option? Honestly, I wouldn't spend all that money on canvas. I have an Alma and I regret not waiting until I could get a bag in Epi Leather. It's far, far more striking than the canvas. The Epi Leather is GORGEOUS!!!

Classic Logo, definitely. It's a classic now and forever. That Damier will eventually go out of style and you may regret spending all that hard-saved money on a passing trend. Go with your first instinct.
I ONLY purchase the classic monogram from Louis Vuitton. I own about 10 pieces between purses, accessories and luggage. I've had them for years and they will never go out of style because it is the original logo. That is too much money to spend on a trend so get your money's worth with the classic!!
I love the Damier but since you've saved your money, this is an investment, and you should invest in the classic. Classic Louis will NEVER go out of style!

I think either are great, but I think I'd go for the monogram.
The brown damier, along with the LV logo, are their two signature prints. It's never going to go out of style! Louis Vuitton makes more of their products using the LV logo, therefore you don't see many of the damier print. =)
Damier 35- that's what I asked for Christmas this year! Love it!
I have been saving up for the same bag!!!! I love the classic monogram. I am typically not a liker of anything monogram but LV is the one exception. Good luck with your decision and enjoy. :-)

I think I like the Damier better, but only because the color of the handles on the Speedy bug me.
I say go classic...cant go wrong with it at all. I took mine back. I need to save for one..Lucky girl!
