It's Go Time

I promised my mom weeks ago that I'd sign up to be a member here:

I'm going to keep my word and head over there tomorrow after school. I guess I've put it off long enough. Of course I'd love to lose weight {who wouldn't???} but I'd also like to get in shape.

I've never been athletic, ever. I don't run and I can't play a sport well if my life depended on it. However, even so, I must get into better shape! I mean, I've gotta be in a swimsuit around students in less than 8 months--Spain here we come!!!!! If that's not enough to get my booty in gear I don't know what is! There really is no better time than now.

To all my married gals, you know those months leading up to your wedding when all you could think about was "I must look good in my dress!!!"? Remember how you ate well and worked out religiously? Well, I too, was one of "those girls" and I want to be like that again. I just gotta get my mind back in the game. And ya know, I actually really love working out...it's the getting ready, making time for it in the cold that makes me make excuses and not go.

But, I hope with me putting this out there for all of you to see will make me more accountable!

Here's to tomorrow, the next 8 months, and the rest of my life! : )

Woohoo -- we can definitely check up on eachother. Isn't it funny how nothing is as much pressure as the wedding was? Amazes me how much willpower I had then.

Here's to your health! *

Good luck! I really like Club Fitness. Try some of their classes if you can. That is what I do and it helps motivate me a little more than doing it on my own. Wanna run a 5K with me this spring?

You took the words right out of my mouth. I am helping coach volleyball this year, but I will be doing must of the running of drills and that because the other coach is expecting! It DOES feel great when you get a good workout in, but I get caught in all the excuses as well. We fixed our elliptical this weekend, so hopefully I will get back on that as well. Good luck!

It sounds like you have the right attitude going into it! I hope along the way you are able to enjoy it as much as before and won't stop as your goal approaches! :)

Super cool. I'm always amazed at how awesome I feel after a great run, even though I dread it so much going into it.
