It's That Time Of The Year

It's getting cool outside and thus my taste buds somehow begin to change. As I was in 6th hour today I immediately, out of the blue, decided that tonight would be chili night!

I love chili and am still learning how to get it just right! I did a pretty good job this time, but I still have room for improvement.

We like our chili here in the Midwest with cheese, oyster crackers, and peanut butter sandwiches! At least, I think most of us Mid-Westerners do...that peanut butter sandwich thing may just be native to my hometown ; ) .

What do you like your chili with? Have any awesome recipes you're willing to part with? Do share!

I remember at school which is several years ago but our cook made the best chili and he served it with cheese and carrot sticks I still like it that way. I have never had peanut butter sandwich with mine but I hear allot of people do, will have to try it sometime. I like to follow the recipe off the back of Bush chili bean can its called Chili Beans Chili Recipe it makes 18-20 servings but I am use to cooking for a larger family, but hey left over's taste even better with all those spices in it.

I eat my chili with cheese and cottage cheese yum! Also, my favorite chili recipe has ground beef and stew meat.

I've been cravign chili, too!! I'm in the Midwest, but have never heard of adding oyster crackers and pb sandwhiches, lol! I like to add cheese (of course!) and my MIL adds pepperoni which is so yummy!

Ohhh, my two loves have been united: PB sandwhiches and chili
That's so interesting I must try it, J!
I posted a pork green chili recipe a while ago that we just love. My must have is definitely a dollop of sour cream and corn bread on the side. Mmmm-mmm!

I made chili yesterday too! It was sooooooo good and the leftovers will be even better. I make mine with ground turkey instead of beef. We eat ours with tortilla chips and chedder cheese. Yummmmm!

I put lots and lots of cheese and onion and sour cream.

I wish that it was getting a little cooler here in LA. It's been hotter the last week than it was the entire summer.

I just made chili the other night! I like mine with shredded cheese, onion, and a little dollop of sour cream. ALSO, my mom got me started putting butter on a saltine and then dipping it into the chili. It takes me forever to eat a bowl, but I can't eat it without the buttered crackers!
