Thrift Store Thursdays + Weekend Plans

I know, I know...I usually visit my favorites on Friday, but something about yesterday's sunny 70 degree weather put me in the mood to do a little thrifting early. Thank you, February, for gracing us with your lovely weather!

I'm glad I made the choice to go a day early because I came away with some fabulous finds. The little stuff is still in the bag but the big stuff, oh my. I took a picture of the find of the day and tweeted/facebooked it yesterday asking for quick advice. {Have a twitter handle? I'd love to follow you...leave it in the comment form if you wish!}

"Should I buy it?" The overwhelming response?

"Yes!"

And I'm not the girl to disappoint.

This baby came home with me and is hanging out with us until I can find a home for her. The fabric is the prettiest kelly green and it is in tip top shape. I just couldn't leave it sitting at the Salvation Army all alone. She wanted to come home with me. You understand, right? : )

This weekend our agenda consists of a little thrifting, a possible trip to the movies, some more furniture makeovers for the WWSS, clothing shopping for another Great Day St. Louis appearance on Monday, and a much needed girls outing to the Botanical Gardens for the Orchid Show + a yummy lunch. Busy, busy!

Thank heavens for three day weekends!

xoxo

P.S. I'm trying to talk my sister in law into this piece. It wants to be rescued from the Salvation Army, too. ; )

Seriously drooling over the desk and camel back sofa. I'm dying to know what you paid for it. And how much that desk is?

OH WOW! I can't believe something that gorgeous was living in the Salvation Army! What a good soul you are saving it. I wouldn't have thought twice and definitely would have brought it home with me to replace our current couch... it's GORGEOUS!

That sofa is AMAZING! Does it even need re-upholstering? What a find. And please talk your SIL into saving that vanity, definitely a diamond in the rough.

I can not believe that was at the SA! Amazing! They must have you on speed dial to clue you in. ;)

What an awesome find! You'll have to let us know how much it set you back, being the SA and all. And that desk/vanity needs to be rescued for sure, it would be so beautiful after a coat of glossy paint.

Love, love, love, love that couch!
I just hit up my local Salvation Army and outlet (yes, there is an outlet...amazing!) this afternoon. Couldn't think of a better way to spend an afternoon off!

I didn't find anything near as lovely as that couch but I'll post my finds next week!

Brilliant! When you say "find a new home" do you mean find a new home *in* your home? Because if you don't keep that baby, I'll be very disappointed. (Smile.) - Camille

The sofa is amazing! I LOVE the lines ~ who in the world would get rid of that??

And how much is the desk? If it's less than $20 she should definitely go for it!

Hope you have a fabulous week! :)

I am beyond jealous! We need a new sofa so bad. I always think I can find one on Craigslist and always forget Salvation Army. I am back on the hunt!
